Durban Girls’ High School was established in 1882, which makes us one of the oldest girls’ schools in South Africa. Throughout our proud history we have been committed to providing a holistic learning environment and we are now officially recognised as a School of Excellence and Influence by the Alan Gray Orbis Foundation.
Our academic focus is based on the strong work ethic of both staff and learners. This is enhanced by state of the art technology and fully equipped venues which provide outstanding teaching resources. Our co-curricular programme covers over fifty sporting and cultural activities which are offered on both a competitive and social level. We actively promote healthy living through our wellness programme.
